From Glenallachie distillery in Speyside, this is Batch 7 of their 10-year-old expression. Bottled at a cask strength of 56.8% abv, the single malt was aged in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons, Rioja barriques and virgin oak casks, all hand-picked by Master Distiller Billy Walker. Free from chill filtration, and at natural colour.

On the nose, there are waves of heather honey, dried fruit, cinnamon and nutmeg, followed by aromas of orange peel, mocha and treacle. The palate brings lashings of dark chocolate, figs and heather honey, with touches of raisins, cinnamon, plums and orange zest following through on to the delectable finish.
