Located on the breath-taking ‘Sound of Islay’ the Caol Ila Distillery has been producing single malt whisky since 1846, making it one of the oldest distilleries on the island. Founded by Hector Henderson, the distillery has a rich history that reflects the rugged beauty and time-honoured traditions of Islay itself. Caol Ila is renowned for its lighter fruity character that beautifully pairs with the rich smoky peat.

This release from Stillwater Whisky Co. was distilled on 16th November 2010 and matured for 13 years in a single first-fill Bourbon barrel. This cask choice results in a dram packed full of ripe notes of exotic fruits balanced with earthy peat smoke. One of only 316 bottles, it is presented in a stunning 50cl bottle at a cask strength of 56% ABV, with all-natural colour and of course no chill-filtration.
